1/3/2026 Overnight outside natural gas odors spark multiple calls to Harford County Department of Emergency Services 911 center for Fallston, Bel Air, and Abingdon. Fallston Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Co. responded to four calls overnight regarding natural gas odors, along with other volunteer fire departments in the county handling additional calls. BGE and Columbia (TransCanada) Gas were also receiving calls from community members throughout Harford County. FVFAC, along with the gas companies, was unable to locate any gas leaks in the Fallston area.

It is believed to be an odor from a source outside our region, and winds are carrying it throughout the county.
