Motorists Should Expect Daytime Lane Closures, Flagging Operations During Projects
(May 3, 2024) - The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration is beginning two pavement improvement projects in Harford County this month. The work will be complete by mid-summer, weather permitting.

Beginning Monday, May 6, crews will begin a pavement patching project on MD 147 (Harford Road) between the Baltimore County line (Little Gunpowder Falls) and MD 152 (Fallston Road/Mountain Road). Starting at 9 a.m. on Monday, motorists can expect temporary daytime lane closures with flagging operations on weekdays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday – Friday.
Beginning Wednesday, May 8 crews will begin a resurfacing project on MD 24D (Connector Road) between MD 24 Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway and US 40 (Pulaski Highway) near Edgewood. Starting at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, motorists can expect temporary daytime lane closures with flagging operations on weekdays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday – Friday and overnights 9 p.m. - 5 a.m., Sunday – Thursday.

Beginning Monday, May 13, crews will begin a pavement patching project on MD 152 between US 1 (Belair Road) and Connolly Road. Motorists can expect temporary daytime lane closures with flagging operations on weekdays, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday - Friday.
The paving work is part of the State Highway Administration’s highway maintenance program to improve safety and ride quality of pavements on primary state highways within Baltimore and Harford counties. Contractor Allan Myers – MD, Inc. of Fallston will perform the paving work at all three locations.

The State Highway Administration works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving, and look for reduced speed limits as well as other traffic pattern changes.
Please drive like you work here and slow down in construction zones.
Motorists in need may dial #77 on their mobile devices for roadside assistance.
