Burn Ban is in effect |
| June 1, 2026 | |
| June 1 to August 31 Maryland has an open burning ban from June 1 to August 31 each year. This ban applies to most counties in the state, including Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Calvert, Carroll, Cecil, Charles, Frederick, Harford, Howard, Montgomery, Prince George's, and Baltimore City. Exceptions include agricultural operations and open fires for recreational purposes, such as campfires and cooking. The use of propane grills is permitted during the burn ban. If you are having a recreational fire, it is best practice to use an enclosed fire pit and keep a water source readily available. See less |
