UPPER CROSSROADS DWELLING FIRE- At approximately 1730 hours on July 19, 2010 Harford County 911 received a call reporting a kitchen fire in a dwelling in the 3100 block of Hunt Road. The Fallston, Jarrettsville, Long Green (Balt. Co.) and Kingsville (Balt. Co.) Volunteer Fire Companies were dispatched at 1732 hours. First arriving units from the Fallston Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Company (FVFAC) reported smoke visible from a one-story wood frame dwelling and confirmed a working kitchen fire, with all occupants out of the dwelling and accounted for. Crews from Engine 1312, Truck 1331, and Engine 1311 made an aggressive interior attack and the fire was quickly brought under control. Additional personnel from the remaining responding volunteer fire companies assisted with ventilation and overhaul. Fire damage was limited to the kitchen area with extensive heat and smoke damage throughout the residence. There were no injuries reported to the occupants of the home or to firefighters. According to Chief Will Rosenberg of the FVFAC the cause of the fire appears to be accidental, involving unattended cooking. Last units cleared the scene at 1939 hours.
